Destiny is emotionally inhibited because he'd rather have a shitty relationship like the one he has with Melina than no relationship at all and He's so in his femenine energy and conflict avoidant that he thinks he will be "too controlling" if he tells her girl not to go with another guy because not only he doesn't want to lose her, but hes bot used to stand his ground and his left wing ideology doesn't help him the slightest bit because he subscribed since a long time ago to feminist causes so his rational side is telling him it is "not okay" to control who women sleep with even though his genuine masculine or his (authentic/sacred masculinity which he has no connection with) could be saying no this is not okay because if ANYONE (male) is true to their sexual selves and listened to qhat his emotions are telling him then they would not be okay with their woman sleeping with a different man, because we are hardwired to value sexual exclusivity on the geneticsl biological level and it is proven psychologically that men's jealousy is far more sexual than bonding based (as its with women) and that's why I say his inhibited emotionally, also explains why his soooo logical and left brained. Also the core thing is more so to do with his insecurities than anything else, she is more dominant in the relationship and that's evident when you listen to them talking and analyse the dynamics of their interactions. So here's the drill, although Melina may say she "loves him" (at this point something inevitable because time itself makes people attached to one another) I don't think she RESPECTS him and this is because she confuses respecting a man and honoring him with the very femenine gift and biological drive and desire for sexual exclusivity, with a negative.
